Monitoring of the microbial community in crude oil-contaminated tidal flats. Indigenous oil-degrading bacteria had a significant role for crude oil removal. The bloom of oil-degraders (e.g. Cycloclasticus) observed for the first 4 months. The reduced diversity after the oil spill was almost recovered a year later. High resilience and degradation capacity of tidal flat microbial community.
