The effect of three maturation media has been evaluated on the in vitro maturation and developmental competence of abattoir-derived goat oocytes. The intracellular glutathione and reactive oxygen species levels have been determined in oocytes after in vitro maturation in three maturation media. Relative mRNA expression analysis of 39 developmentally associated genes revealed that four genes (MATER, PLAT, NANOG, and CCNB1) were differentially expressed in oocytes matured in different media.
