Small scale, low cost wave energy converter prototype with pneumatic power take-off.

Losses are modeled for each power take-off component.

Loss models experimentally validated.

Power take-off performance measurement for steady state and transient conditions.

Overall maximum efficiency is 6.6%. Most losses occur in vane motor.

Prototype suitable as demonstrator for teaching fluid power and wave energy systems.
