Characterization and absorption studies of cationic dye on multi walled carbon nanotube-carbon ceramic composite

Multi wall carbon nanotube–carbon ceramic composite was fabricated by a sol gel method. MWCNT-CCC was used as adsorbent for removal of basic dye from aqueous solution. The adsorption of BY28 onto proposed adsorbent fits pseudo-second order kinetic model. The equilibrium adsorption data were well fitted by the Freundlich isotherm model. The adsorption kinetic and isotherm models of MWCNT-CCC toward BY28 were investigated. Thermodynamic and kinetic parameters of the adsorption process have been studied.
