A cracked span length frame element proposed for steel-concrete composite frames. The element accounts for cracking in concrete slabs at a service load. An iterative procedure developed using the proposed element for the analysis of frames. The procedure validated by comparing the results with experimental and FEA results. The procedure would lead to a considerable reduction in the computational effort.
