文摘
Hydrophilic carbon nanoparticles (CNPs) were produced in one-step from amino acids in water by pulsed arc discharge at pressurized argon atmosphere. Five kinds of amino acids were utilized as the carbon precursors, and examined characteristics of CNPs. The number of carbon straight chains in source amino acid affected particle size, crystallinity, and composition of nitrogen in the CNPs.
