One step synthesis of nickel nanoparticles decorated reduced graphene oxide via simultaneous reduction of GO and NiCl2. Photocatalytic reduction of nitroaromatics to corresponding amino compounds under visible light irradiation. Facile recovery of the photocatalyst via external magnetic effect. Efficient recycling of the photocatalyst without significant loss in activity. Cost effective mild synthetic methodology for the decomposition of organic pollutants by visible light.
