The effects of dietary fructooligosaccharide on growth, intestinal short chain fatty acids level and hepatopancreatic condition of the giant freshwater prawn (Macrobrachium rosenbergii) post-larvae
Dietary FOS at 0.4% increased growth, short chain fatty acids and improved hepatopancreatic condition of prawns. Dietary FOS at 1 or 2% induced oxidative stress and reduced hepatopancreatic condition. Dietary FOS at 0.4% is recommended for M. rosenbergii culture.
