Recent literature has highlighted the importance of using neuroscience to measure changes associated with interventions in ASD. Despite evidence that ASD is a neurologically based condition, studies measuring neurological change in response to interventions are rare. Other conditions have successfully utilized neuroscience as a measure of change before and after behavioral interventions. We recommend future studies seek to integrate behavioral interventions with neuroscience to understand how intervention changes the brain.
