Electrochemically inert polymers become electroactive after plasma functionalization. Selective dopamine detection has been achieved functionalizing polymers with plasma. Plasma-functionalized polymers are sensitive dopamine detectors. XPS analyses reflect the transformation of inert polymers into electrosensors.
