Adsorption of CO on Si(111)-7×7 by scanning tunneling microscopy. Chemisorption of CO even at temperatures higher than room temperature. Upright on-top and back-bond inserted configurations. Every silicon dangling bond can bind with the C atom of a CO molecule.
