Wavelength conversion by difference frequency generation process inside a Ti:PPLN is modeled.

The phase conjugation between signal and converted wavelength (idler) is illustrated.

The phase engineered ultra-short optical pulse wavelength conversion device is proposed.

Device compensates nearly all of the waveguide dispersion effects in the converted pulses.
