Modeling of adsorption kinetic and equilibrium isotherms of naproxen onto functionalized nano-clay composite adsorbent

An adsorbent with high efficiency for removal of naproxen was synthesized from nano-clay, β-CD and PVP. The batch study was investigated under the experimental conditions. The effects of important parameters such as contact time, pH, adsorbent dose and initial concentration were studied. The equilibrium constant was evaluated through 9 isotherm models. The kinetics was studied by pseudo first order, pseudo second order, Intraparticle Diffusion and Elovich models.
