Proteomics affinity-isolation experiments with c=B$c=B$ bait proteins which are conducted to infer protein–protein interactions produce data that can be summarized in 2×B$2\times B$ tables. We propose a new method for defining “more extreme” tables, the rejection region, and the p$p$-value by considering the frequency range.
