Hepatic extracellular volume fractions (fECV) can be calculated using multi-phase enhanced liver CT and haematocrit values. Hepatic fECV is a potentially useful non-invasive staging tool in the assessment of liver fibrosis. Higher fECV values indicate more advanced liver fibrosis.
