This is the first resting-state Alzheimer's Disease EEG study reporting the influence of Alpha Rhythm on epoch selection. We compare EEG epochs with more and with less Alpha Rhythm of Alzheimer's Disease patients and healthy elderly controls. We found out that EEG epochs with less alpha activity are much better to discriminate mild AD patients from controls.
