Porcine kobuvirus(PKV) is a new emerging virus detected in diarrhea pigs.
A pair of primers and probe was designed to amplify the conservative 3D region of PKV genome.
The developed TaqMan probe-based real-time RT-PCR possessed well specificity and had ∼1000 times higher sensitivity than common RT-PCR, and the detection limit was as low as 30 DNA copies.
The developed TaqMan RT-PCR can be used for early detection and quantitation of PKV.
