Conceptual design study of the low power and LEU medical reactor for BNCT using in-tank fission converter to increase epithermal flux

A LEU low power medical reactor (LPMR) is designed based on MNSR for BNCT and NAA. The U3Si2-Al dispersed fuel is used as an appropriate LEU fuel. The Fission converter (FC) is applied for increasing epithermal neutron flux. Optimization of the FC and BSA is performed using Monte Carlo computations.
