Numerical investigation of the influence of particle size and particle number ratios on texture and force transmission in binary granular composites

2D bidisperse composite granular systems with different stiffnesses are considered. Morphologies are analyzed in terms of geometrical texture and force transmission. Global coordination number slightly changes with particle size and particle number. Stiff-stiff, soft-soft, and stiff-soft contacts are also analyzed statistically. Simulations and experimental results are in good global agreement.
