Coping strategies can reduce adverse job outcomes related to techno-stressors. Techno-invasion and techno-overload predicted work-family conflict and distress. These strain facets drove both adaptive and maladaptive coping strategies. Adaptive ones reduced work exhaustion and maladaptive ones increased it. This study provides a clear classification of IT-related coping strategies.
