Three new “turn-on” type Cu2 + fluorescence receptors have been synthesized. This mechanism involved the Cu2 +-mediated oxidative cyclization of the receptor. Charge transfer from an “on” to “off” state following the recognition of Cu2 + This receptor was successfully used to determine Cu2 + in practical samples.
