Pennycress (Thlaspi arvense L.), an annual weed shows promise as a biofuel feedstock. Little is known regarding best management practices for producing pennycress. Pennycress has a wide range of planting dates. Sowing in August and September in the northern Corn Belt maximizes yields and more importantly, oil content.
