In this paper, we study the asymptotic behavior of solutions of a class of non-autonomous delay differential equations. These equations have important practical applications and generalize those on which Bernfeld and Haddock conjectured that each solution of the equations tends to a constant. It is shown that every solution of the equations is bounded and tends to a constant as class="mathmlsrc">class="formulatext stixSupport mathImg" data-mathURL="/science?_ob=MathURL&_method=retrieve&_eid=1-s2.0-S0022247X16305030&_mathId=si1.gif&_user=111111111&_pii=S0022247X16305030&_rdoc=1&_issn=0022247X&md5=76588297ed683c5ba6d90b7271679079" title="Click to view the MathML source">t→+∞class="mathContainer hidden">class="mathCode">, which improves and extends some existing ones.
