A novel PS4VP/PVDF dual-layer hollow fiber ultrafiltration membrane was developed.
Highly ordered porous surface was formed on the outer layer by PS4VP self-assembly.
It showed excellent mechanical property due to the use of robust PVDF as support.
Intermediate-treatment agents were applied to regulate PS4VP infiltration in PVDF.
The delamination-free membrane showed UF performance potential for bioseparation.
