We extract the class="mathmlsrc">class="formulatext stixSupport mathImg" data-mathURL="/science?_ob=MathURL&_method=retrieve&_eid=1-s2.0-S0370269315008990&_mathId=si1.gif&_user=111111111&_pii=S0370269315008990&_rdoc=1&_issn=03702693&md5=5f4df44c94811537ac03e01cd3f769bd" title="Click to view the MathML source">e+e−→π+π−class="mathContainer hidden">class="mathCode"> cross section in the energy range between 600 and 900 MeV, exploiting the method of initial state radiation. A data set with an integrated luminosity of class="mathmlsrc">class="formulatext stixSupport mathImg" data-mathURL="/science?_ob=MathURL&_method=retrieve&_eid=1-s2.0-S0370269315008990&_mathId=si2.gif&_user=111111111&_pii=S0370269315008990&_rdoc=1&_issn=03702693&md5=473f199a82a72e0a610b03d5d6737c65" title="Click to view the MathML source">2.93 fb−1class="mathContainer hidden">class="mathCode"> taken at a center-of-mass energy of 3.773 GeV with the BESIII detector at the BEPCII collider is used. The cross section is measured with a systematic uncertainty of 0.9%. We extract the pion form factor class="mathmlsrc">class="formulatext stixSupport mathImg" data-mathURL="/science?_ob=MathURL&_method=retrieve&_eid=1-s2.0-S0370269315008990&_mathId=si114.gif&_user=111111111&_pii=S0370269315008990&_rdoc=1&_issn=03702693&md5=f8143485976ee1aac233bacebbcefbb8" title="Click to view the MathML source">|Fπ|2class="mathContainer hidden">class="mathCode"> as well as the contribution of the measured cross section to the leading-order hadronic vacuum polarization contribution to class="mathmlsrc">class="formulatext stixSupport mathImg" data-mathURL="/science?_ob=MathURL&_method=retrieve&_eid=1-s2.0-S0370269315008990&_mathId=si4.gif&_user=111111111&_pii=S0370269315008990&_rdoc=1&_issn=03702693&md5=5ea7c9a9ccf043ce618c24cf6246470c" title="Click to view the MathML source">(g−2)μclass="mathContainer hidden">class="mathCode">. We find this value to be class="mathmlsrc">title="View the MathML source" class="mathImg" data-mathURL="/science?_ob=MathURL&_method=retrieve&_eid=1-s2.0-S0370269315008990&_mathId=si5.gif&_user=111111111&_pii=S0370269315008990&_rdoc=1&_issn=03702693&md5=2e10b9ce820ac804f84b8a11d869b90c">class="imgLazyJSB inlineImage" height="21" width="345" alt="View the MathML source" title="View the MathML source" src="/sd/grey_pxl.gif" data-inlimgeid="1-s2.0-S0370269315008990-si5.gif">class="mathContainer hidden">class="mathCode">, which is between the corresponding values using the BaBar or KLOE data.
