Ultrathin, non-agglomerated and defects free CuO nanosheets (NS) were synthesized.
They were produced by the microwave route and evaluated as a polymer nanofillers.
The stiffness value of the nanocomposite increased by 63% by adding 0.5 wt% NS.
The load and stress at fracture were improved by using these CuO-NS.
These CuO-NS might be useful as reinforcements for high-stiffness products.
