文摘
The isotopic compositions in lithium and magnesium have been studied using a home built atomic beam- time of flight (TOF) mass spectrometer in conjunction with an atomic beam apparatus and a pulsed Nd:YAG laser. The linearity of the detector for non-selective ionization source has been determined from the measurements of the isotopic compositions in accordance to their natural abundance. In addition, we present two step selective excitation/photoionization of the lithium isotopes via the 3s 2S1/2 excited which reveals the concentration of Li6 enhanced up to 63% as the exciting laser is tuned to the 3s 2S1/2 excited state of Li6.
