A fast and reliable method for silicon determination in plant materials by HR-CS SS-GF AAS was developed.
A secondary line with 5.9% relative sensitivity was used because of the high concentration of Si in the samples.
Ir and Rh, were evaluated as permanent modifiers alone, and combined with Pd/Mg(NO3)2 in solution.
Best results were obtained using Rh in combination with Pd/Mg in solution.
Two certified reference materials were used to evaluate the accuracy of the results.
