Multispectral and hyperspectral data were tested to identify intertidal oyster reefs.
The best results have been obtained with the higher spectral resolution.
Oyster spectral signatures showed variability associated to mud deposition.
Chlorophyll a and c absorptions bands suggests the presence of diatoms on oyster shells.
Visible and near infrared data should be combined with SAR data for intertidal bivalve mapping.
