Solid solutions of LaLiO2 were synthesized.
The Li ion conductivities of the La1 − xSrxLi1 + xO2 and LaLi1 − 2yMgyO2 solid solutions systems were studied.
The magnesium-doped sample (with y = 0.1) showed better ionic conductivity than that of Sr doped sample (with x = 0.1).
Better ionic conductivity in the Mg doped system indicates that vacancies led to high lithium ion conduction in LaLiO2.
