Analyzing the performance of two COSMIC approximation sizing techniques at the functional process level

Functional Size Approximation research, has been consider a few samples and distinct detail of requirements in most of the case studies. This paper investigates two functional size approximation techniques and compares performance using a wide set of data. From our findings, it was concluded that for this dataset the EPCU approximation technique corresponded to the best option in the early phases of the software life cycle. This paper, statistically demonstrates why the EPCU Functional Size Approximation technique comprises the best option when identification of Functional Process is performed in the early phases.
