Foreign-born are 3 years younger than Sweden-born patients at the time of breast cancer diagnosis. Risk of stage II tumors is higher in foreign-born compared to Sweden-born breast cancer patients. Mortality increases with decreasing level of education, regardless of country of birth. Mortality in foreign-born with advanced tumors is higher than Sweden-born patients. Worse prognosis in foreign-born patients is not explained by education or comorbidity.
