Handwashing compliance is low among personnel in early childhood centers. Surveillance cameras were used to verify handwashing compliance in an early childhood center. Overall compliance among all personnel for handwashing was 22%. Parents had the lowest compliance rate at 4%. Caregivers had the highest compliance at 30%.
