Driver sub-groups based on self-reported driving behaviour (DBQ, DSI) were supplemented by register data. Sub-group membership was predictive of having a traffic offence. The most important predictor was having a criminal record for non-traffic offences. Gender, living without a partner, and being self-employed also had a significant effect. The study confirms that DBQ and DSI are suitable instruments for predicting traffic offences.
