Ortiva affects the most sensitive species to a greater extent than azoxystrobin. Marine species are more sensitive than freshwater species to azoxystrobin. SSD method was more realistic than the lowest EC50 to assess MAC-EQS for azoxystrobin. An aquatic MAC-EQS of 1.8 μg L−1 was validated for the fungicide azoxystrobin.
