A simple method to predict the performance of cross flow filtration is shown. Formation of the cake layer is retarded due to reduction in particle adhesion at the surface of the cake layer.  Compression of the cake results in increased flow resistance. The model equation is solved using simple numerical and approximate analytical methods. The model is simple to implement and can be applied to estimate cross flow filtration performance.
