The improving-effect of WMF on Cr(VI) removal by ZVI depended on the MF intensity. The removal of Cr(VI) by non-ferromagnetic Zn0 was not affected by WMF. WMF was more beneficial to Cr(VI) removal by ZVI with smaller particle size. Corrosion products were localized on surface of ZVI spheres in the presence of WMF. FΔBFΔB was the major driving force for WMF effect on Cr(VI) removal by ZVI.
