Protein is the key parameter in the 2D crystallization of 5-HT3A. Sequential limited proteolysis improved 2D crystal size of 5-HT3A. Conformational nanobody reduced conformational heterogeneity and improved protein packing of 5-HT3A, therefore improve the diffraction quality of the 2D crystals.
