CDNs show prolonged precorneal residence time (>4 h). CDNs enter porcine corneal epithelial cells through clathrin-mediated endocytosis. Trans-corneal penetration of CDNs was obtained using a custom-built CSMF. CDNs show a promising topical ocular delivery system.
