Tetraethylenepentamine modified chitosan/CoFe2O4 particles were prepared. Excellent magnetization (63.83 emu g−1) was obtained for easy magnetic recovery. Comparative and competitive adsorption of Pb(II) and Cu(II) ions were investigated. Approving adsorbent prepared for Cu(II) (or Pb(II)) in single and bi-component system.
