Cu2O spheres with improved performance towards azide-alkyne click reactions. High yield synthesis of Cu2O well-defined spheres displaying monodisperse sizes. Click reactions under ligand-free and ambient conditions in an open reactor. Cu2O spheres enabled superior performance as compared to a conventional protocol. High yields for click products and seven of them have not been previously reported.
