The protein and Mrna expression were detected in human gingival tissues both healthy and diseased. The expression of RECK in human gingival tissues may contribute to periodontal physiological and pathological processes. Low RECK expression may be associated with the enhanced MMP-2 and MMP-9 production in inflamed gingival tissues.
