Fe3O4@SiO2-cytarabine magnetic nanoparticles (MNPs) were prepared for the targeted cancer therapy.
The characterization results of TEM and XRD showed that the average diameters of Fe3O4@SiO2-cytarabine MNPs were about 23 nm.
The results of cytotoxicity evaluation showed that nanoparticles have greater effect on the cellular in vitro cytotoxicity than cytarabine.
The results for DNA binding illustrate that DNA aggregate on the Fe3O4@SiO2-cytarabine MNPs via groove binding.
