Effect of the change in the interface structure of Pd(100)/SrTiO3 for quantum-well induced ferromagnetism

Interface manipulation of quantum-well induced ferromagnetism was performed.

Ferromagnetic Pd(100) ultrathin films on SrTiO3 substrate were prepared.

The structural phase transition of SrTiO3 degraded gradually the interface structure.

Change in the interface structure caused change in the magnetic moment of Pd.

Magnetic change was interpreted by modulation in the effective thickness of the film.
