20E causes the upregulation of arylphorin both at the mRNA and protein levels.

Deletion analysis revealed that − 258 upstream region is sufficient to drive the transcription of arylphorin.

A 19 bp functional Ecdysone Responsive Element in the 5′ upstream region of arylphorin has been identified.
