CFD model is used to investigate the hydrodynamic performance of an offshore OWC. Chamber air pressure, free surface and hydrodynamic efficiency are compared to experiments. Numerical wave energy balance analyses are performed. Impacts of wavelength, wave height and turbine damping on wave energy conversion chain are presented. Nonlinear effects and areas of energy losses by stronger vortices are highlighted.
