Influence of spin wave attenuation on a ferromagnetic nanowire-based magnonic Bragg mirror

A magnonic Bragg mirror based on a segmented ferromagnetic nanowire is discussed. The spin wave spectrum depends on the coupling strength between segments. For damping constants between 0.001 and 0.1, spin wave damping is not negligible. Intense Bragg peaks can manifest when the damping constant is less than about 0.01.
