Branched GDGT signals in fluvial sediments of the Danube River basin: Method comparison and longitudinal evolution

文摘
The ‘classic’ and ‘improved chromatography’ GDGT methods are used in Danube sediments. Improved isomer separation helps to disentangle sources of brGDGTs in river sediment. BrGDGT-derived MAT and pH follow the actual values from headwaters to the delta. BrGDGT signal into the Black Sea is greatly influenced by inputs from the lower basin.
