Enhanced piezo/solar-photocatalytic activity of Ag/ZnO nanotetrapods arising from the coupling of surface plasmon resonance and piezophototronic effect
Ag/ZnO nanotetrapods are firstly used as piezo/solar-photocatalyst. Ag/ZnO nanotetrapods can co-use the solar and mechanical energy in the nature to degrade various organic pollutants. High piezo/solar-photocatalytic efficiency has been realized. A new physical-chemical mechanism has been proposed by coupling surface plasmon resonance and piezophototronic effects.
