Acupuncture treatment on some hematochemical parameters in athletic horse. Horses were transported and competed in two official races. Significant effect of transport and exercise was found on all studied parameters. Higher glucose, lower lactate, and erythrocyte osmotic fragility values were found in acupunctured horses. The results suggest that acupuncture improves adaptation to stressful stimuli in horse.
